The aims of Francis Marion Chapter through the years can best be summed up as follows: historical appreciation of the past, patriotic service in the present, and educational training for the future. Our main achievements are participate in naturalization courts, presentation of medals and awards in American history essay contests, presentation of good citizenship pins to senior boys and girls in high school, ROTC medals, financial and material aid to Kate Duncan Smith School and the National and State Societies, marking historic spots, and copying and preserving old records for future generations."
